Water Quality Laboratory

The City of Miramar values its residents and is sensitive to their concerns regarding copper pipe issues. As a result, we have developed a list of frequently asked questions for the benefit of the residents. The City continues to monitor our water quality to ensure continued compliance with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), Florida Department of Health and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP).

Certified by the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP), we are continuously working to ensure that the quality of Miramar’s water meets environmental and governmental standardization, as required by law. Furthermore, in order to support the State licensing requirements, routine water collection samples are continuously gathered at the East Water Treatment Plant, West Water Treatment Plant and the Wastewater Reclamation Facility. We respond to all inquiries concerning water quality.
