Waste Water Collection

The East Wastewater Collection Division maintains 129 Lift Stations including the Master Pump Station and Booster Pump Station, as well as supports the Collection and Transmission lines that transport sewage to the Wastewater Reclamation Facility.

Lift Stations are below grade facilities designed with pumps and piping, equipment control, alarm, odor control and a ventilation system. They are located throughout the City and are used to collect and transport wastewater from the customer’s location to the Wastewater Reclamation Facility.

Sewer Inspection & Maintenance Program is the inspection and maintenance program that is used to prevent groundwater and rain water from entering the sewer system. The system plays an important role in maintaining operational demands.

Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA) system allows the identification of equipment and operational problems, in an effort to timely implement, corrective measures and repairs, thereby preventing sewer overflows and back-ups.
