Conservation Pays

The City of Miramar is an Emerald Award Winner for Environmental Excellence and understands it takes a village – or a City with all stakeholders working together – to make progress protecting Broward County’s limited water resources. That’s why we have been a part of the Broward Water Partnership since the beginning. This multi-year program will have an aggressive media campaign to enhance the awareness of water conservation to achieve the program’s goal to save water, save money, and save the environment.

Replace your current toilet(s) that use(s) more than 1.6 gallons of water per flush with WaterSense® certified High-Efficiency Toilets (HET). Rebates are provided for up $100 each. Single-family, townhouse and condo applicants may receive up to two (2) rebates.

Multi-family housing units, not-for-profit agencies, commercial buildings and institutional facilities may receive up to five (5) rebates or may submit a request to receive more.

We’re also offering low-flow faucet aerators, shower heads and water conservation kits, which include a showerhead, aerators, plumber’s tape and toilet leak detection tabs.
