Child Care Food Program

Miramarvels Early Childhood Academy is a participant in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child Care Food Program which assists centers in serving nutritious meals each day to all enrolled children.

All meals served meet the meal pattern requirements established by the United States Department of Agriculture and the Florida Department of Health. Children will receive breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. There is no additional fee for the meals served to your child.

Please know that The United States Department of Agriculture and the Florida Department of Health require that each child have a completed Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application on file. All Free and Reduced Price Meal Applications will be placed in our files and treated as confidential information.

Menus

The daily menus are rotated and posted weekly at each center. Please check with your child's school to note which week's menu is being served. Our caterer offers five weeks of complete component meals per month. All meals provided to your child are peanut and pork free.

FAQs

Can my child bring food to the program?

No. Meals and snacks served to children must meet specific U.S. Department of Agriculture meal pattern requirements.

Are you a Peanut Safe Zone?

Yes. Our child care center is a Peanut Free Zone. All meals served at the child care center do not contain peanuts or peanut related products.

What if my child has food allergies or special diet?

Accommodations will be made for children with food allergies. A doctor’s note is required. Accommodations can also be made for special diets such as for vegetarian's. Please speak with the Center Supervisor regarding specific arrangements for children with special diets and food allergies.

Do you serve pork products?

No. Our programs serve pork free meals and snacks.

How is the Child Care Food Program funded?

This program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and is administered in Florida by the Department of Health, Bureau of Child Care Food Programs.

Do I have to complete the Meal Application?

Yes. The United States Department of Agriculture and the Florida Department of Health require that each child have a completed Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application on file. Free and Reduced Price Meal Applications will be placed in our files and treated as confidential information.
