Help us Recognize Our Students!

Every quarter, the "Do the Right Thing" award recognizes young individuals who exemplify outstanding character and contribute positively to their communities. While kindness and politeness are commendable traits, we are specifically looking to honor children who demonstrate a deeper level of impact through their actions.

We seek nominees who:

  • Show Initiative: Actively identify and address needs within their community or school without waiting for prompts from others.
  • Demonstrate Leadership: Inspire and mobilize their peers to engage in positive activities or causes.
  • Exhibit Integrity: Consistently make ethical choices and stand up for what is right, even when it’s difficult.
  • Persevere: Show determination and resilience in overcoming challenges or adversities.
  • Or Make a Tangible Impact: Engage in activities that result in meaningful and lasting positive changes in their environment.

We believe that recognizing and celebrating these actions will encourage other young individuals to also take initiative and make a significant difference. Please provide specific examples and stories that highlight the nominee’s contributions and the impact they have made.

  • Nominees must be school aged Miramar students/residents.
  • Nominations must be a minimum of four sentences.
  • The deadline to nominate a student is 5PM on December 31, 2024.
