Citizens' Police Academy

The Miramar Police Department’s Citizens’ Police Academy is a series of classes designed to educate the public about police operations within the city of Miramar. Classes are taught in a classroom setting where citizens are provided with a better understanding of the day to day operations of the police department and receive valuable information on such topics as: crime prevention programs, DUI enforcement, and economic crimes. A Ride-Along program is also available to qualified participants allowing them to ride with an officer during a regular patrol shift. There is no charge to attend the course.
