Digital Evidence Unit (DEU)

The Miramar Police Department's Digital Evidence Unit (DEU) was created in 2019. DEU is responsible for the deployment and support of the the department's body-worn camera (BWC) system; the management of the digital evidence database Evidence.com; case filing of digital evidence with the Broward State Attorney's Office; and the dissemination of digital evidence for public records requests, in accordance with Florida public records laws.
