Overview

The City of Miramar’s GO Local Government Academy (GLGA) is a FREE program designed to offer you the opportunity to learn how your local government works and how you can become more involved in the city.

Learn about garbage collection, water safety, street paving, landscaping and other projects and topics including cultural arts and special events.

As a participant, you will learn about the relationships between you as a resident, the City Commission, and City Administration, how and why projects are implemented and the manner in which services are provided.

Be prepared to receive an overview of the budget planning process, and many other responsibilities and functions of City government. Each class will be conducted by a department representative and will provide informational and interactive learning approaches.
