Employee Benefits
The City of Miramar offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees. The Benefits division provides education, resources, and counseling to assist employees with making informed decisions regarding their current and future needs.
The cost and level of benefits is dependent on the collective bargaining agreement covering the employee, employee status (e.g. full-time, part-time) as well as ordinances, and Civil Service Rules (Municipal Code).
The City’s group insurance plan year is January 1st through December 31st. Once the open enrollment period closes, dependents may be added or deleted only under limited circumstances
