Community Emergency Response Team

The CERT Training teaches you basic disaster response skills to safely help yourself, your loved ones and the community when disaster strikes.

Part 1: Online CERT Training (Approximately 12 hours)

Unit 1: Disaster Preparedness
Unit 2: CERT Organization
Unit 3-4: Disaster Medical Operations
Unit 5: Disaster Psychology
Unit 6: Fire Safety and Utility Controls
Unit 7: Light Search and Rescue
Unit 8: Terrorism and Hazardous Materials Safety
Unit 9: Course Review and Disaster Simulation

Part 2: Practical CERT Training (16 hours)

Hands-on training, practicing skills learned during the on-line training course units.

Location

All hands-on / in-person classes will take place at the City of Miramar Fire-Rescue Station 84, located at 14801 SW 27 Street, Miramar, FL 33027 (first floor training room). Drive thru open gates on the side of the station and park in the rear parking spaces.
