Operations

The Miramar Fire Rescue Emergency Operations Division oversees fire suppression and Advanced Life Support(ALS) medical rescue for the five Fire Stations in Miramar. Three of these stations operate as engine companies and two operate as a ladder company.

The stations may also function in dual roles such as hazardous materials or technical rescue. All engine and ladder companies operate as Advanced Life Support(ALS) companies that are staffed with firefighters/paramedics and a complete complement of ALS equipment and medications.

These engine/ladder companies help shorten the time that it takes start rendering ALS treatment to our citizens and visitors. The Emergency Operations Division researches and develops strategic approaches to emergency care and service level issues.

Members

Members review concepts, research medical topics and recommend cost effective approaches to managing operational needs. The Division provides educational resources to Department members with certified instructors teaching programs that enhance knowledge of emergency response procedures.
