Closing Your Account

An account can be closed only when a property is sold or rented. If services need to be disconnected temporarily, please see the Suspend Service page. You will need your account number, forwarding address and all pertinent documentation, as stated on the form, to complete this request. An account for a foreclosed property will be closed once the Certificate of Title is received. To close your utility account, you must complete the Request to Close Account Form(PDF, 223KB)  and return it to the Miramar City Hall, email to wbcustomerservice@miramarfl.gov (the system will generate an auto response with a ticket number), please allow 48 business hours for a response. Effective June 1, 2008 a termination fee of $25 is applied to all accounts closed.
