Development Engineering

New development projects or improvements to existing developments are reviewed by civil engineers and traffic engineers to ensure conformance with City Code design standards, and the adequacy of utility and roadway infrastructure that is necessary to meet the development’s capacity requirements.

Staff review and prepare various development agreements with private developers for:

  • Water and Sanitary Sewage
  • Traffic Signalization
  • Park land dedication

Permitting
Review and issuance of permits for construction of all site work and utilities for private developments, public right-of-way improvements and City’s Capital Improvement Projects, in addition to all utility right-of-way use to private utility companies.

Inspections
The city’s engineering inspectors monitor all infrastructure construction activities throughout the City. All permits issued by this section are inspected to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
