Elections

The Mayor and the City Commissioners are elected at-large, with the City Commission designated by seat numbers. Both the Mayor and the City Commission are elected for four-year terms. Elections are every odd number years, with staggered terms. 

All elections shall be held in accordance with the provisions of the general election laws of the State of Florida, except as otherwise provided by City Charter or by Ordinance. 

Members of the City Commission, including the Mayor must be a resident of the City continuously for at least one year immediately preceding the first day of the qualifying period.  You must also be a registered voter.
