COMMUNITY FIRST!

Water is a fundamental human need. It is obviously essential for hydration and for food production - but sanitation is an equally important use of water.

Over the last several months I have been working with City staff to create a program to assist those households who need water bill assistance. If you are struggling with paying your water bill in this challenging economy, the loveDROP program may be a resource for you. Our main goal is to prevent disconnection of water to the residents in the City of Miramar. This program includes extended payment plans, financial literacy support, community resources and other incentives. WAYS YOU CAN HELP!

Just like a reservoir is filled drop by drop, we need your help. Be the DROP (Donors Restoring Other People) that will not only restore safe, clean water to those needing assistance, but will also help to restore their dignity and put them on the path to working towards long term self-sufficiency.

1)  Miramar residents who wish to contribute, can do so by adding a donation to their monthly City of Miramar water bill payment. You can also send a donation to: loveDROP program, City of Miramar, Finance Dept./Cashier’s Office, 2300 Civil Center Place, Miramar, FL. 33025

2)  If you are not a customer and wish to contribute, please mail your donation to: loveDROP program, City of Miramar, Finance Dept./Cashier’s Office, 2300 Civil Center Place, Miramar, FL. 33025. Please write "loveDROP Donation" in the memo section of your check. Donations can be made as a one time gift or as a monthly donation of any amount.
