Project 1: Miramar Boulevard Widening from Palm Avenue to Hiatus Road
Road widening from two lanes to four lanes, including bike lanes, sidewalk, landscape, irrigation and hardscape. The work was funded by the developer, Sunbeam Development Corporation.
Construction completed early 2019.
Project 2: Historic Downtown Revitalization (Miramar Parkway Streetscape Improvements from Southwest 68 Avenue to Southwest 69 Way)
Streetscape improvements including new bike lanes, pedestrian lighting, landscape and irrigation, replacing concrete sidewalks and pavers, new ADA ramps and decorative crosswalks, median hardscape improvements, drainage, roadway repaving and pavement markings.
Construction completed at the end of 2018.
Project 3: Historic Miramar Complete Streets Phase II
Broward County Commission approved a Broward Redevelopment grant in the amount of $1.5M for the re-development within eight streets in the Historic Miramar area from SR7 to SW 62 Avenue and from Pembroke Road to County Line Road. The grant includes construction of sidewalks, ADA ramps, pedestrian lights and landscaping improvements all within the rights-of-way.
Construction completed first quarter of 2019.
