Small Business Disaster Loan, Unemployment Assistance and Help for Homeowners Available

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has declared Broward County eligible for individual assistance. FEMA Disaster Assistance can help support your recovery from a major disaster. If you have damage or sustained impact that you believe will result in future damage register NOW either online at disasterassistance.gov or call 1-800-621-3362 to register. FEMA is encouraging homeowners to register early.

The SBA Disaster Loan Program is up and running. Businesses of all sizes and most private nonprofit organizations can apply for Physical Disaster Loans up to $2 million to repair or replace damaged real estate, equipment, inventory and fixtures. Small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private nonprofit organizations of all sizes suffering substantial economic injury may be eligible for an Economic Injury Disaster Loan of up to $2 million to meet necessary financial obligations - expenses the business would not have paid if the disaster had not occurred. Disaster Unemployment Assistance
Disaster Unemployment Assistance provides financial assistance to individuals whose employment or self-employment has been lost or interrupted as a direct result of a major disaster and who are not eligible for regular unemployment insurance benefits.
