The Monster Who Ate My Peas

Education Field Trip Performance
Friday, May 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM

The Monster Who Ate My Peas is based on the multiple award-winning book written by Danny Schnitzien and illustrated by Matthew Faulkner. This funny musical tells the poignant story of a young boy named Danny who doesn't want to eat his peas, so he makes a deal with a monster who appears underneath his kitchen table. If the monster eats his peas, then Danny must give the monster any of his possessions. First, he gives the monster his soccer ball and then his bike, but when the monster raises the stakes, Danny must suddenly make some difficult decisions and eventually face his own fears. Students and teachers will enjoy this wonderful tale about the value of will power.

“Llegar a Marte” (Landing on Mars): Andrés, with his characteristic style, narrates in a romantic and scientific comedy, an adventure towards the future in which you will be part of the “crew”. The space and affective exploration we all wish to do will be performed onstage where it will be shown that launching a rocket traveling to space is similar to love: they both require different stages.
