  1. Department of Juvenile Justice

    The City of Miramar Social Services Department has partnered with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice to bring services to our community through their youth diversion programs.

  2. Emergency Home Energy Assistance

    The Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program can provide assistance with final notice or past due Florida Power and Light electric bills and/or may provide assistance in the form of a fan or blanket. This program is for income eligible persons over the age of 60.

  3. Florida Department of Children and Families

    At the Youth and Family Outreach Center you are able to apply for food assistance, temporary cash and Medicaid electronically with the help of our courteous staff.

  4. Harmony Development Center

    The Harmony Development Center provides services to at risk youth and their families in order to prevent violence, criminal behavior and victimization through educational programs, support groups and community involvement.

  5. Miramar Assisting Seniors in their Homes Program

    The Miramar Assisting Seniors in their Homes Program is a short term emergency assistance program designed to alleviate a crisis.

  6. Save on Prescription Drugs

    The program offers savings on prescription drugs to residents who are without health insurance, a traditional benefits plan, or have prescriptions that are not covered by insurance.

  7. Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders (SHINE)

    Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders (SHINE) counselors provide information, counseling, and assistance on Medicare Eligibility, Enrollment Coverage Issues, Health Plan Choices, Appeal Rights, Policies, Long-term Care Insurance and Prescription Assistance Resources.

  8. Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program

    The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) provides free income tax preparation assistance for low to moderate income tax payers. IRS-tax law certified volunteers provide this free service.

  9. Vulnerable Population Registry

    The Vulnerable Population Registry is for residents who are at risk due to disability, frailty or health issues, regardless of age, who elect to stay at home in the event of a hurricane or other emergency.

  10. Hardship Exempt Application

    You may be eligible for a Hardship Exemption for the City of Miramar Fire Protection Assessment Fee for the 2017 tax year. In order to qualify homeowners must meet strict income and residence eligibility criteria and provide all required documentation.
